Skyway 5K : St. Paul
The Skyway 5K is an indoor road race that runs through the St. Paul skyway system and starts and finishes at Union Depot, 214 4th Street East, Saint Paul, MN 55101. The event takes place on February 27, 2027.
The course covers 5K and weaves through connected buildings and elevated walkways, featuring stairs, turns, and changes in flooring. The route is designed to be ADA compliant and includes posted detours to elevators where stairs occur. The race will be chip timed with multiple self-organized heats; bib numbers are assigned at registration.
On race day there will be a complimentary coat check and bag drop, water stations and bathrooms along the route, and designated spectator areas. Event amenities included with registration are a race bib with safety pins, a branded beanie or winter hat, coat and shoe check, and sponsor items. Event t-shirts are available for purchase at $20 for a 100% cotton unisex shirt.
Participants are advised that the course feels more like navigating the city than running a straight-line road race. The skyway is climate controlled, so light running clothes are recommended and bringing a second pair of shoes for a dry option is suggested. Walkers are welcome and children in strollers do not need to register. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
