O'Brien Trail Races : William O'Brien State Park, Marine on Saint Croix, MN

The event offers trail races in the following distances:

Races take place inside William O'Brien State Park, with the start and finish at the Visitor Center. Parking is in the Visitor Center lot. The course for the 50K consists of two 25K loops using the upper and south sections of the park and Jackson Meadows. The 25K course is listed as to be determined. The 10K runs the 5K loop twice. The 5K and 10K use wide grass trails with one large hill and a flat finish. Drop bags are allowed at the start/finish area only.

Aid stations are provided differently by distance: the 50K has four aid stations per loop; the 25K has four aid stations; the 5K and 10K have no aid stations. Finish time limits are specified by distance, including a 9-hour limit for the 50K and a 2-hour limit for the 5K and 10K. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in the 50K and 25K; there are no awards for the 5K and 10K. All 5K and 10K finishers receive a full-color 8.5 x 11 print of the current year logo.

Online registration is offered in advance with tiered entry fees and race-day registration at higher fees. Packet pickup is on race morning only. Bathrooms are available inside the Visitor Center. There are no refunds, transfers, or deferrals; if the event is canceled for public health or other conditions it may be converted to virtual and shirts and bibs mailed. The Norwegian Foot March & Trail Run is an annual fitness event offering a 30K foot march, a 30K trail run, and a 5K trail run. It takes place at the Arden Hills Army Training Site and is open to the public and military community.
