O'Brien Trail Races

O'Brien Trail Races take place at William O'Brien State Park in Marine on Saint Croix, Minnesota. The event includes multiple trail distances on park trails and meadows, with the start and finish at the park Visitor Center. Parking and restrooms are at the Visitor Center.

Distances

• 50K two 25k loops through upper and south park sections and Jackson Meadows
• 25k single loop course; course details to be determined
• 10K two 5k loops on wide grass trails with one large hill
• 5k wide grass trails with one large hill; family friendly entry fee

Longer distances feature staffed aid stations and post race food items. The 50K uses four aid stations per 25k loop; the 25k also has multiple aid stations. The 5k and 10k have no aid stations, no awards, and no race shirts. All finishers receive a full color 8.5 x 11 print of the current year logo.

Logistics note that drop bags are accepted only at the start and finish area, packet pickup is race morning only, and music must be used with headphones. Entry fees vary by distance and registration period; the 5k and 10k have low flat fees even on race day. The event has a no refunds policy and entries may not be transferred or deferred.
