The event offers two distance options held at 9653 Keats Avenue South, Cottage Grove, MN. Distances:

  • 10k

The 5k follows one loop of the course and the 10k follows two loops. The course uses cross-country ski trails and is laid out as a 3.2-mile loop. Trails are described as wide enough for passing and walking and include hills, valleys, shaded tree areas, and sunny prairie sections. Surface conditions on the course include grass, mud, packed dirt, and rocky sections in washout areas.

Course details and logistics

The race begins at the Ravine Landing building next to the parking lot at the end of Ravine Road and follows the Green and Red trail loops. Course markings will use ACR arrows, but there are multiple offshoots and the trails remain open to the public. A large parking lot in the park should accommodate participants.

Support and rules: water and light snacks will be available at the start area and a water refill station will be provided; participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle. The event is gun-timed with chip timing; runners must wear a visible bib. Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers by gun time; age group awards by chip time will be awarded if participation levels meet requirements. Pets and bicycles are not allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
