Course Information
The run uses cross-country ski trails. The course is a 3.2-mile loop featuring hills, valleys, shaded tree areas, and sunny prairie sections. The terrain includes grass, mud, packed dirt, and rocky sections. The 5k race covers one loop, while the 10k race covers two loops. The trail is described as wide enough for passing and walking.
The race starts at the Ravine Landing building next to a parking lot at the end of Ravine Road. The route follows marked Green and Red trail loops. The trails are open to the public, and signage is provided.
Logistics
A large parking lot is available at the park. Packet pickup on race day starts at 7:00 AM. Water and light snacks are available at the start line, with a water refill station. The event is gun-timed using chips, and results are posted online.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers. Age group awards may be given depending on participation. The post-race celebration includes music and light snacks.
Rules and Notes
