Mindy Creek Trail Races

The Mindy Creek Trail Races take place in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, on August 29, 2026. The event has three distances: a Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K. All races start and finish at the Polk County Information Center.

Course

The courses use various trails in St. Croix Falls. The terrain includes technical sections, rolling hills, bridges, and easier stretches on gravel and paved surfaces. The Marathon consists of two loops of the half marathon course, with over 18 miles on single track. The Half Marathon is a lollipop-shaped course with over 9 miles of single track. The 10K is an out-and-back route with 2 miles of single track, 2 miles of paved trail, 1 mile of gravel trail, and 1 mile on grass trail.

Event Details

The total field is limited to 150 runners, with online registration only. Registration opens on November 28, 2025, and closes on August 25, 2026. There are no refunds, and entries cannot be transferred or deferred.

Aid stations provide water, sports drinks, soda, and snacks like cookies and chips. Packet pickup is only on race morning. Bathrooms are available at the start/finish area.

Time limits are 7 hours for the Marathon, 5 hours for the Half Marathon, and 2 hours for the 10K. All finishers receive a commemorative color print.
