Great Pumpkin Chase

The Great Pumpkin Chase is a fall trail running event at Lake Elmo Park Reserve in Minnesota. The event offers multiple timed running options on natural trails with rolling hills and peak autumn foliage. Aid stations are placed approximately every 1.5 miles. A professional photographer will be on site and race results are provided by an external timing service.

Distances offered include:

  • Kids Trail Fun Run | 0.5 mile
  • 5K | 3.1 miles
  • 10K | 6.2 miles
  • Double Up | complete the 10K then the 5K

The course and event environment are described as walker-friendly, stroller-friendly, and dog-friendly for well behaved, leashed dogs. Post-race amenities, weather permitting, include a bonfire and a pancake breakfast; spectator breakfast is available for a fee. Packet pick-up on race day at Lake Elmo Park Reserve includes the race bib, timing chip, and event shirt if selected. Parking at the park is subject to a day pass fee.

Awards are given to top overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female athletes in each age group. Fun Run finishers receive finisher medals; age group ribbons attach to finisher medals for age group winners. A military discount is available via paper registration with payment by check.
