Night Owl 6 Hour Shuffle

Lake Elmo, United States • 4 Oct 2025

The Night Owl 6 Hour Shuffle is part of the Night Owl Races held at Lake Elmo Park Reserve in Minnesota. This event offers a unique ultra running experience where participants run as far as possible within six hours on grassy ski trails featuring rolling hills. Runners can choose between a 3.3-mile big loop or a 1.2-mile "Prairie" loop, checking in after each to track distance.

The race includes night running with trail lights and requires runners to carry headlamps or flashlights. Additional events include 5K and 10K night trail runs. Aid stations provide snacks and hydration, and awards feature handmade wooden owl trophies.

The event fosters a festive atmosphere with a post-race celebration by the Nordic Center. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
