The Ȟaȟá Wakpádaŋ Loopet Loppet is a trail event on October 18, 2025 in Minneapolis at the Trailhead in Theodore Wirth Park. The main formats are 12-hour and 6-hour individual efforts, plus a relay option for teams of up to four. Participants run or walk repeated laps of a looped course to cover the maximum distance in the chosen time window. The event also includes untimed options for shorter participation and a children’s loop.

Logistics, support, and on-site activities
All events start and finish at the Trailhead. A full ultramarathon-style aid station will be available between loops and will highlight Dakota foods; a self-serve water and energy drink station is located at mile 3 of the 5-mile loop. Drop bag storage is available at the aid station. Relay exchanges are allowed only between loops. Pacers are permitted with age-based restrictions.
On-site programming at the Trailhead includes an Indigenous People’s festival with Native vendors, chefs, running groups, artists, storytellers, community partners, lawn games, and organized Northern Indigenous Games. Awards include a pumpkin decorated during the day by Little Loopet participants.
