In Yan Teopa 5 & 10 Miler : Frontenac State Park

The In Yan Teopa trail race takes place at Frontenac State Park on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The event offers two distances and courses that traverse a variety of natural terrain, including rolling prairies, single-track trails, and notable climbs.

The event is organized as a cupless race to reduce waste; participants are asked to carry a water bottle, container, or running vest. Water is provided at the start and finish area, and a mid-course aid station on the 10 mile course supplies water, fruit, snacks, and other items. Restrooms are available at the start and finish locations.

Parking is handled near the top of the park and park admission fees apply. The park provides a range of camping options with amenities, and nearby towns such as Red Wing and Lake City offer hotel choices. If a participant cannot finish, the procedure is to remove the bib and notify an aid station volunteer or the race director; failing to notify officials may affect future participation in the organizer's events.

The race director may delay, suspend, or cancel part or all of the event for safety reasons related to weather or other hazards. No refunds or transfers are allowed under the stated refund and transfer policy.
