Night Light - Urban Trail Series

Night Light is a trail running event held on the Battle Creek trails in Saint Paul. The course is entirely off pavement and follows grassy and dirt trails with a fair number of large climbs, so participants should expect natural trail footing and significant elevation changes. The course is not lit; participants are advised to bring a headlamp.

The event offers two distance options:

  • 5K one lap
  • 10K two laps

Walkers and hikers are welcome alongside runners. Registration is available online through 10.24.2025 and day-of registration and bib pick-up are available outside the Battle Creek Recreation Center at the event location. Registration includes the race entry, an event pint glass for the first 100 registrants, a coupon for a food truck purchase, and a complimentary post-race drink at Wabasha Brewing.

Post-race amenities include a food truck, root beer, and post-race festivities continuing at Wabasha Brewing where a complimentary drink is offered. The race organizer may cancel or shorten the event in the case of severe weather, using the American College of Sports Medicine Heat and Humidity Guidelines and information from the National Weather Service to guide decisions.
