Logistics and race operations
The course is marked with orange pin flags, normally placed on the left side of the trail except where two-way traffic requires flags on both sides. Chip timing is used and the timing chip is affixed to the back of the race number; the chip is disposable and need not be returned. There is some parking adjacent to the trailhead, with the majority of event parking located about a quarter mile north at Chapel Hill Church. Post-race refreshments include pizza, soft drinks and beer; beer service requires valid ID. Headphones are allowed at low volume; out-loud music is not permitted. Dogs may not run in the race but supervised on-leash dogs are allowed at the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
