ESTRS Spring Lake Park 5 Mile : Participant Guide
The Spring Lake Park 5 Mile is a trail race held at Spring Lake Park in Hastings, Minnesota on Wednesday July 29, 2026. The course is two loops in a figure eight and mixes wide mowed prairie trails with single and double track through the woods. The route is described as runnable but rolling, with about 310 feet of total elevation gain (approximately 62 feet per mile). A water stop is located after the first loop, roughly 5 km into the race. The course is marked with orange survey flags that are normally placed on the left side of the trail.
Registration opens Thursday January 1, 2026. The field limit is 425 runners and the published entry fee is $30 plus the registration provider fee. Entry fees are not refundable, transferable, or exchangeable under any circumstance. There is no waiting list once a distance sells out. The race director reserves the right to modify or cancel the event or course for safety or other public-safety reasons; no refunds are issued in those cases.
Race services include chip timing, a well marked course, at least one water stop for races over 5 km, experienced volunteers, and a small giveaway (a sticker). Race numbers must be worn visibly on the front and the timing chip affixed as instructed. Onsite parking is available; late arrivals may face a 5 to 10 minute walk from parking areas.
