ESTRS Spring Lake Park 5 Mile

The Spring Lake 5 Mile is a rolling trail race run as two loops in a figure eight at Spring Lake Park in Hastings, Minnesota. The course combines wide mowed prairie trails with single and double track through the woods and has an elevation gain of about 310 ft (approximately 62 ft per mile). There is a water stop after the first loop, roughly 5 km into the race.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Registration opens January 1, 2026. The field is limited to 425 runners and the listed entry fee is $30 plus the third-party registration service fee. Entry fees are nonrefundable and registrations are not transferable. Organizers may modify or cancel the race for safety or other serious reasons; no refunds are issued in such cases.

Registered runners receive a marked course, chip timing, a giveaway sticker, and support from volunteers. Post-race provisions include pizza and refreshments. Race procedures require wearing the race number visibly with the timing chip attached; the chip is disposable. Headphones are allowed at low volume or with one earbud out. Out-loud music is not permitted. Dogs may not run with participants; supervised on-leash dogs are permitted for spectators.

Parking is available onsite and along the park road; arriving late may require a short walk and parking volunteers will provide direction. Races are held in typical summer conditions and may be delayed or canceled for severe weather. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
