Baby Backyard 5K - 50K ULTRA

The Baby Backyard 5K - 50K ULTRA is a trail event in Maple Grove, MN at 12420 James Deane Parkway presented by Human Race Inc, a 501(c)(3) organization. The format uses repeated 5K loops started hourly until a participant or the event reaches the 50K distance; participants who complete each 5K within the hour may continue. There are no hard cutoffs until the event ends.

All registration fees are donated to the Children's MN Cancer Fund. The event is part of the RRCA Championship Series as a 50K and awards medals to age-group individuals who complete the 50K fastest. Gatorade Endurance is listed as the hydration sponsor for the 50K. The event also participates in the Upper Midwest Trail Runners Too Fun Trail Run series; UMTR members earn series points by running this race.

A virtual option allows remote participants to complete hourly 5K segments up to 50K; virtual entrants receive race-day swag by mail. The event permits crew, family, and fans on race day, and kids may run, ride, walk, or hike for free. Aid and course management are provided for the duration of the event.
