Baby Backyard 5K - 50K ULTRA

The Baby Backyard Ultra in Maple Grove, MN is a backyard ultra format held at 12420 James Deane Parkway with a virtual option. The event uses a repeating 5K loop: participants run a 5K every hour and may continue while they complete each loop within 60 minutes. There are no hard cutoffs until the event ends, and participants may choose how many laps they complete; finishing one 5K lap counts as an official finish.

  • 5K loop option

Presented by Human Race Inc, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all registration fees are donated to the Children’s MN Cancer Fund. The event has been accepted as part of the RRCA Championship Series 50K, with medals for age group winners who complete the 50K fastest, and Gatorade Endurance as a hydration sponsor for 2026. A virtual entry lets participants run their own 5K course up to 50K and receive race day swag by USPS.
