Baby Backyard 5K-50K ULTRA

The Baby Backyard 5K-50K ULTRA is a community fun run and fundraiser organized by Human Race Inc on 8/8/2026 at Elm Creek Park, Bluebird and Chipmunk Picnic Areas, Maple Grove, MN. All race registrations are donated to the Children's Minnesota Kids Cancer Fund.

The event format asks participants to run a 5K loop every hour for up to ten hours to reach a 50K total. The 5K course is open for the full event period and runners may complete as many laps as they choose. Every hour a new 5K lap starts. The event records the distance each participant covers; finishing a single 5K counts as an official finish.

Virtual participation is available. Virtual runners set a 5K course of their own and may follow the hourly goal up to a 50K total. Virtual participants receive race day swag by mail.

Crews, family, and pacers are welcome. Kids run free. Event staging includes a primary cover at the start and finish area with water, some ice, swag, and assorted snacks. There is community tent space with tables and chairs and participants may bring personal supplies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
