Icebox 480/240
Icebox is a timed trail challenge held on single-track trails at Whitetail Ridge in River Falls, WI on November 1, 2025. Participants choose between timed options and run repeated loops to accumulate as many miles as possible on a roughly 5-mile single-track loop. During the event's final hour, a shorter 1.05-mile loop is available for additional mileage. Registration closes October 29, 2025.
Race logistics
The event uses a time-range start to spread runners on the single-track course. Runners record start and finish times on a central display board and may keep drop bags at the start area. The event is cupless; participants must bring a personal water container for aid station fill-ups. An aid station will provide snacks and, later in the day, more substantial items such as chicken noodle soup, quesadillas, and mashed potatoes. Portable toilets will be available at the start point.
Pacers are not allowed. Crews may assist runners only at aid stations or drop bag locations. Parking is permitted only on nearby streets. There is no on-site camping; Willow River State Park is mentioned as a nearby camping option (about 14 miles). The race director may delay, suspend, or cancel the event for safety reasons; refunds or transfers are not allowed. The organizer states a commitment to creating an inclusive environment for participants and volunteers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
