Icebox 480/240

River Falls, United States • 7 Nov 2026

Event Format

The Icebox 480/240 is a timed running challenge where participants accumulate as many miles as possible within a set time limit. Runners can choose between a 4-hour (240-minute) or an 8-hour (480-minute) challenge. The event uses a loop course.

Course Details

Participants run on a single-track trail. The main loop is approximately 5 miles per lap. In the final hour of their chosen event time, runners can switch to a smaller loop of approximately 1.05 miles.

Start Procedure

There is no single mass start. Instead, runners select their own start time within a two-hour window in the morning. At the start, participants record their personal start time on a display board. Runners are responsible for tracking their own completed loops on these boards during the event and recording their finish time at the end.
