Icebox 480/240 : Whitetail Ridge, River Falls, WI
Icebox is a timed trail event on a single-track course of approximately five miles per loop at Whitetail Ridge. Runners accumulate as many miles as possible within a chosen time limit on repeated loops of the trail.
Distances and options:
- 8-hour (480 minutes) timed challenge
- 4-hour (240 minutes) timed challenge
- Final hour 1.05-mile loop option
The event is cupless; participants must provide their own water container to fill at aid stations. A staffed aid station offers snacks throughout the day and later serves more substantial items such as chicken noodle soup, quesadillas, and mashed potatoes. Portable toilets are available at the start area. Drop bags may be kept at the start point and used near stations.
Pacers are not allowed. Crews may provide aid only at aid stations or drop bag locations. Parking is permitted on nearby streets only. There is no immediate camping at the site; nearby lodging options include hotels in Hudson, Stillwater, and Woodbury, and Willow River State Park is listed about 14 miles away for camping inquiries.
