Icebox 480/240
River Falls, United States • 1 Nov 2025
The Icebox 480/240 is a timed endurance running event held at Whitetail Ridge in River Falls, Wisconsin, near the Twin Cities. Participants choose between a 4-hour (240 minutes) or 8-hour (480 minutes) challenge, running multiple loops of a scenic single-track trail approximately 5 miles per loop. In the final hour, runners can opt to complete a shorter 1.05-mile loop to push their limits further.
The event features a staggered start between 6:00 and 8:00 am to allow runners to set their own pace on the narrow trail. Aid stations provide snacks and hydration, and the race promotes environmental responsibility by being cupless. The Icebox offers a unique opportunity for both new and experienced runners to test their endurance on beautiful trails. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
