Run For The Apples takes place at Jacobson's Pine Tree Apple Orchard in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. The main distance is a 5 Mile Run/Walk over trails that pass through apple orchards, strawberry fields, and a pumpkin patch. The footing on the course varies from gravel to pavement.

All 5 Mile finishers receive apple treats. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each age group category. First place male and female in each age group receive a certificate for a free apple pie. There is an option to purchase long sleeve T-shirts.

A separate 1/3 Mile Kids Fun Run occurs after the 5 Mile awards. Strollers and pets are not allowed on the course. The organizer is Strive Scholarship White Bear Lake. Listed entry fees are twenty five US dollars for the 5 Mile individual category and seven US dollars for the 1/3 Mile Kids Fun Run.

The Norwegian Foot March & Trail Run is an annual fitness event offering a 30K foot march, a 30K trail run, and a 5K trail run. It takes place at the Arden Hills Army Training Site and is open to the public and military community.

A Backyard Ultra at Elm Creek Park Reserve where runners repeat a **4.167 mile** loop each hour until one runner remains. The course circles Mud Lake, changes direction periodically, and uses a start area at the Bluebird Picnic area.
