Trail Running calendar near Aberfan 2026-2027

A 50 mile Somerset trail ultra with about 7337 ft ascent, coastal and moorland terrain, six aid stations and a 16 hour cutoff.

Trail running event at Martinhoe in Exmoor National Park on 8 May 2027 with 10K to ultra distances across moorland, woods and coastline. Points from each finish count toward the Endurancelife season leaderboard.

Stroud Trails on 9 May 2027 offers four marked trail races across the Cotswolds with checkpoints, water stations, marshals and a mandatory 500 ml water carry.

Margam Wild Trail Runs at Margam Country Park on 23 May 2027 offers 5 km, 10 km and half marathon trail routes, is canicross friendly, uses live chip timing, and provides medals and post-race refreshments.

A multi-stage event at Dare Valley Country Park where runners complete five Pure distances within 24 hours, with separate and combined results. Distances include 5k, 10k, 50k, half marathon and marathon.

A fully supported trail running event in May 2027 along the way-marked Heart of Wales Line Trail from Llandrindod Wells to Craven Arms, offered in **50 miles**, **26 miles**, and **16 miles** distances.

Three trail races (50, 26, 16 miles) follow the final sections of the Heart of Wales Line, finishing at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre, with baggage transfer and varying checkpoint support by distance.

The Beyond Bristol Ultra will take place in Bristol city centre on Saturday 5 June 2027. You can run between 25 and 55 kilometers.

A multi distance running event in Bath that features long underground sections through the Devonshire and Combe Down tunnels and a city centre start and finish at Brickfields Park. Races range from 500 m Colourburst to an ultra marathon.

A roughly 6 kilometre mixed-surface race through Blaise Castle Estate in Bristol, held annually in early June. The event has individual and team prizes, a minimum age of 16, and facilities based around the clubhouse.

A backyard ultra at Breakheart Quarry where runners repeat a **6706 metre** loop every hour until one person remains; the event includes camping, marked trails and on course support in the Cotswold countryside.

A multi-distance trail event in the Cotswolds on 12-13 June 2027 based in Cirencester, with route options from 10 km to 100 km. The event offers GPS tracking, marked trails, marquee rest stops, medical support, camping and finisher awards.

A 15-mile point-to-point trail race along the Offa’s Dyke footpath between Hay-on-Wye and Kington, featuring three water stations, two official cut off points, a relay option for two or three runners, baggage transport and on-course safety..

An off-road race series around Cheddar Gorge and the Mendip Hills with distances from 1 km to marathon and an Omnium option; half and marathon hold UTMB index status.

The Mid Wales 200 will take place in Machynlleth on Wednesday 16 June 2027. You can run 200 miles.

A Pretty Muddy 5k at The Downs in Bristol with grass start and finish, mixed terrain and obstacles to climb, crawl and slide. Staggered wave starts apply and the event supports Cancer Research UK with a minimum fundraising target.
