Welsh Festival Of Running - Pure24

Pure24 is a multi-stage event held as part of the Welsh Festival Of Running at Dare Valley Country Park, Aberdare. The concept requires participants to complete five separate running events within a single 24 hour period. Each run is treated as its own event with separate results and there is also a combined time result for the full sequence.

Distances included in Pure24:

  • 5k
  • 10k
  • 50k
  • Half marathon
  • Marathon

The combined distance totals 79.7 miles when all five events are completed within 24 hours. Participants must finish each run before the next run starts in order to continue in Pure24 and to avoid being swept.

On-site facilities include a room for resting, hot and cold refreshments, and pizza provided in the evening for those taking part in the full sequence. Dare Valley accommodation and campsite can be booked separately and are subject to availability; there is also accommodation in Aberdare and nearby towns.

There are standalone entry options for the 50k and the marathon so those individual runs can count as qualifying events for the 100 Marathon Club. A discount code for a support runner may be provided to Pure24 entrants on request. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
