Blaise Blazer

The Blaise Blazer is an annual road and trail race held in the grounds of Blaise Castle Estate, Bristol. The course is approximately 6 kilometres and runs across a mix of tarmac, grass and trail surfaces. The event is usually held on the first Monday in June; the 2027 edition is scheduled for Monday 7 June 2027.

Registration takes place in the clubhouse next to the children’s playground. Presentation of prizes takes place from the clubhouse shortly after results are collated. Free cakes and refreshments are provided in the clubhouse after the race.

Prizes are awarded to male and female finishers in 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, and to winners of age categories listed by the organiser including 1st U23, 1st V35, 1st V45, 1st V55, 1st 65 and 1st V70. A team prize is awarded to the first six club runners to count, with three male and three female scorers. Only one prize per runner is permitted. Spot prizes are given at the finish line.

The minimum age for entry is 16. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs. Support or guide runners may enter free of charge to assist a runner with a disability or impairment. No pushchairs or dogs are permitted. Headphones are not to be worn. Bags may be left in the clubhouse at owners own risk. Parking is available and charges at Blaise apply before 18:00. Three coastal trail races follow the Wales Coast Path to a shared finish at Cardiff Bay, offering 100 miles, 50 miles and 30 miles routes with marked navigation, checkpoints and drop bag support.

Outdoor obstacle and mud run events at Huntley Estate in July 2026, including an obstacle race, a mostly-obstacle-free mud run, and a 1 km kids race; medals and event shirts are provided for participants and marshals.

An endurance event at Huntley Estate on July 18, 2026 that pairs eight physical strength tests with 1 kilometre off-road runs after each test, with official times, medals, age group categories, parking and space for spectators.

Multi-distance runs along the Wye Valley Greenway, including a long lit tunnel section. Mostly flat routes on former railway track with feed stations, clear marking and event medals for 5 km or longer.
