The route is partly out-and-back with an additional one-way loop. Terrain includes ancient woodland, coastal sections, marshes, lanes and moorland, and passes Culbone (small parish church), Porlock and Horner. There are six aid stations; the race is cupless so runners must carry bottles and a cup if required. Aid stations provide water, coke, squash, sandwiches, crisps, fruit, nuts, sweets and other snacks. Course markings are used where needed; the South-West Coast Path section has good signage. A GPX file is provided with race information.
Practical notes: professional medical cover is provided; pacers are not allowed; support crews and supporters are permitted with guidance on parking and meeting points. No mandatory kit is listed but suggested items include waterproof jacket, headtorch with spare batteries, high-visibility clothing, whistle, compass, phone, at least one 500 ml water bottle and emergency food.
