The Maverick Cotswolds Trail 2026 is a one-day trail running event on Saturday 16 May 2026 at Sudeley Castle, Castle Street, Winchcombe, Gloucestershire (GL54 5LP). The event is organised by Maverick Race and is set on estate land of about 1200 acres. Routes use established trails and join long distance paths including the Winchcombe, Gloucestershire and Cotswold Way. Terrain is described as undulating hard-packed trails with some steeper hills, passing through villages, countryside and historic sites.

- 50k Ultra: 51 km - +1387 m
- Marathon: 43 km - +1069 m
- Half Marathon: 22–23 km - +528 m
- Middle: 15 km - +396 m
- Short: 7 km - +97 m
Outpost provision: Short route has no outpost; Middle has one (approx 9 km); Half Marathon has two (approx 9 km and 16 km); Marathon and 50k Ultra have four outposts. Outposts offer snacks, gels and electrolyte drinks. There will be self-serve water barrels and no pre-filled cups, so participants are asked to use a reusable cup or bottle.
Practical information
Entry prices are listed per distance. Online entry closes shortly before the event. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Mandatory kit for Marathon and 50k Ultra includes a waterproof jacket, mobile phone, 800 calories of food, at least 1 litre of water, a foil blanket, whistle, elastic bandage, cap or buff, a reusable cup and a GPX of the route; the Half Marathon requires a minimum of 1 litre of water. The event offers free parking, fully marked and timed courses, online results, event photography, a bag drop area and a metal finisher medal. The event is dog friendly if a dog is added to the entry.
