Exmoor Coastal Trail Run

The event takes place in Martinhoe within the western area of Exmoor National Park on 8 May 2027. It is organised by Endurancelife as part of the 2026 to 2027 trail running season. Completing any distance at this event awards points towards the Season Leaderboard, with points allocated based on performance and contributing to a runner's overall season score.

The courses run through open moorland, thickly wooded combes, rivers, historical ruins and sections of coastline. Terrain is listed as extreme with grass, rock and forest underfoot, and the route includes steep climbs and long descents. The organiser describes the courses as widely regarded as the toughest in the series and as a gruelling test of endurance.

Registered participants will be asked to complete an online check in roughly two weeks before the event. The check in asks for personal details including an in case of emergency contact and requires viewing a mandatory event safety video. The online check in is intended to reduce on the day administration.
