North Coast 110 / Exmoor Coast Ultra

The event offers multiple coastal ultra distances on the South West Coast Path across 7 and 8 November 2026. Races use self navigation along waymarked coastal trail and include GPS tracking for competitors.

Distances available

  • North Coast 110 mile Ultra (nearly 6,000 m elevation gain)
  • North Coast 110 km Ultra (114 km)
  • Hartland Coast Ultra (65 km)
  • Exmoor Coast Ultra (58 km)
  • Exmoor Coast Challenge (38 km)

Route highlights vary by distance. The 110 mile route runs along the true North Coast of the South West peninsula with long sections of coastal path, extended hours of darkness and about 6,000 m of ascent. The North Coast 110 km follows the Taw estuary and North Devon headlands including Braunton Burrows, Saunton Sands, Croyde Bay, Baggy Point, Woolacombe, Morte Point and Combe Martin before joining the Exmoor section to Minehead. The Hartland Coast 65 km starts at Hartland Quay and includes steep early climbs, coastal views toward Lundy island, then lower ground and a final tarmac section into Barnstaple. The Exmoor Coast routes traverse Exmoor National Park with woodland, Culbone Hill at 433 m and the sea cliff Great Hangman at 244 m.

Entry notes and classification are specified by distance. The 110 mile entry requires a prior 50 km finish. Some distances carry ITRA points and UTMB index classification. Transport options to starts are provided for selected routes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
