North Coast 110 / Exmoor Coast Ultra

This event offers multiple self-navigation trail distances along the North Coast of the South West peninsula following the South West Coast Path. GPS tracking is included for entries. Routes run between Hartland Quay, Barnstaple, Combe Martin and Minehead and traverse coastal paths, estuaries and sections of Exmoor National Park.

The North Coast 110 mile race starts at Hartland Quay and includes nearly 6,000 m of elevation gain. Entry requires a prior finish of at least 50 km. It passes Clovelly and Westward Ho and follows estuary sections toward Barnstaple.

The 110 km route begins in Barnstaple with a night time start and follows the Taw estuary, Braunton Burrows and a sequence of coastal features including Saunton Sands, Croyde Bay, Baggy Point, Woolacombe Sands and Morte Point. The route passes Ilfracombe and Watermouth Cove before the halfway point at Combe Martin and then joins the Exmoor Coast route toward Minehead.

The Exmoor Coast Ultra covers the length of Exmoor National Park from Combe Martin to the South West Coast Path finish marker in Minehead. Noted local features include long stretches of coastal woodland, Culbone Hill at 433 m, and the sea cliff Great Hangman at 244 m. Transport is available to start locations for participants. A starlit night trail at Arlington Court in North Devon, organised by Ilfracombe Running Club, with 6 km and 12 km loop options. Mandatory headtorch and trail shoes, age limits apply, and a 50 minute first-loop cut off for the 12 km.

A multi-terrain event in mid Devon on 29 March 2026 featuring a 10 mile trail race with 637 m ascent and a 5 km fun run. The Fury is primarily off-road and unlicensed fun runners receive a medal.
