Lynmouth, United Kingdom • 21 Sep 2025

Event overview

The Doone Run 2025 is the 36th edition of the trail race, held on Sunday 21 September 2025 within Exmoor National Park in the Lynmouth area. The event is organised by Ilfracombe Running Club and runs over 10 miles / 16 km on a multi-terrain route from Watersmeet toward the Valley of the Rocks. The course uses coastal paths, wooded riverside banks, roads and trails and will be fully marshaled. The event holds Trail Running Association permit No. 7013 and has permission from the National Trust and Lee Abbey to use their land.

Entry, limits and race rules

The minimum age for entrants is 17 and the race is limited to a maximum of 250 participants. Entries open 1 April 2025 and close 19 September 2025. Entry fees are listed as £14 for attached club members and £16 for unattached entrants. All finishers receive a commemorative medal; category prizes are awarded.

For safety and marshal welfare there is a cut-off at the 5 mile point at The Olde Cottage Inn: competitors must reach that marshal point within 1 hour 20 minutes or will be withdrawn. Race numbers are collected from Race HQ on the day. Deferments are not possible and refunds are only considered if a place can be reallocated. Proceeds will support the charity ChemoHero.
