Bristol Pretty Muddy 5k at The Downs

Bristol Pretty Muddy is a 5 km obstacle event held on Saturday 20 June 2026 at The Downs, Stoke Road, Bristol BS9 1FG. The event is for participants aged 13 and over. A minimum fundraising target of £50 applies. Entry prices listed are Adults £22.49 and Children £12.00.

The course starts and finishes on grass adjacent to Ladies Mile and Stoke Road, in sight of The Water Tower. The route follows the outer perimeter of Durdham Downs and Clifton Downs, is mainly on grass with mixed terrain, and has an overall ascent of 28 m across the 5 km course. Waves start every 15 minutes and marshals are present at obstacles to assist.

The Pretty Muddy course includes a series of climb, crawl and slide obstacles. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans, access to community support and a Race for Life medal on finishing.

On-site facilities include refreshments and toilets. The event is not wheelchair accessible, is not suitable for pushchairs, and dogs are not allowed. There is no parking on The Downs; the closest public car park is Clifton Down Shopping Centre, postcode BS8 2NN. Nearby public transport options include buses serving Black Boy Hill, Redland and Clifton train station about a 16 minute walk from the venue. A multi terrain community event on 10 May 2026 at Dilton Marsh playing field offering 10 km, 3 km and a 1/2 km fun run with medals for finishers, prize categories, water stations and basic facilities.

A 10 km trail run at Symonds Yat in the Forest of Dean with undulating terrain and views of the River Wye. The final 1 km includes a large climb to the finish. Coffee and hot food are available at the start and finish.

A multi-distance trail event in the Cotswolds on 10th May 2026, featuring quarter, half, marathon and Ultra 40 routes across trails, towpaths and commons with marked routes, checkpoints and on-course water.

The Semington Slog on 16 May 2026 features a 10 km and 2 km run from St Georges School. Routes explore the village and Kennet and Avon Canal towpath. Enjoy community activities, refreshments, and prizes.
