Beyond Bristol 55km Ultra & 25km Trail Runs

Beyond Bristol is a trail running event organised by Wild Deer Events offering two distance options: a 55 km ultra and a 25 km trail run. Both distances start and finish at The Amphitheatre in the city centre and follow routes that move off tarmac onto riverside paths, woodland and green spaces. Walkers, joggers and runners are all listed as welcome.

The longer route follows the River Avon through the city, joins the Frome Valley Way urban riverside trail, then passes through Eastville Park. It links with the Bristol and Bath Railway for over 10 km on the old railway alignment, then joins the River Avon Trail. The course continues under the railway, travels to the west of the city limits, passes beneath the Clifton Suspension Bridge, climbs through Leigh Wood Nature Reserve, crosses into Clifton and returns to the city centre to finish at The Amphitheatre.

Practical details noted by the organiser include public parking within walking distance of the start and a recommendation that public transport is the easiest way to reach the event. Entry fees are listed in the source material as between £35 and £55. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
