Trail Running calendar near Stranraer 2026-2027

A multi-distance trail event in the Lake District National Park, 25 to 27 September 2026, linking the region's 13 valleys with races from 22.4 km to 184.3 km, ITRA points and Western States qualifiers, plus children's Future Valleys races.

Take on the Eskdale Show fell race in the Lake District, a scenic 6.9 km course with 277 m of climb across classic fell terrain. Open to adults and juniors, with easy entry on the day for spontaneous race plans.

Mud Madness at Chatelherault Country Park mixes mud, obstacles and water hazards with dedicated children and family routes; registration includes a t shirt and finishers receive a medal, water and a snack.

Wasdale, held at Wasdale Head on 10 October 2026, is a BOFRA fell race of 2.40 miles (3.8 km) with about 700 m of climb to Kirk Fell. Mandatory taped-seam waterproofs are required for juniors and seniors.

SkyRun the Mournes features three demanding skyrunning races in the scenic Mourne mountains. Runners can choose from distances of 50 km, 35 km, or 20 km, each with significant elevation gain. The event is scheduled for October 10th, 2026.
