Lakeland Paws Whinlatter Tails Night Run is a night trail running event at Whinlatter Forest on 28 February 2026. It is the first night run in the Lakeland Paws series and is organised by Green Space Events Ltd. Entries open 25 July 2025 and close 27 February 2026. Minimum age is 16 or older. The entry fee is £19.00. The event is chip timed and the course will be marked. GPX files are available for download.

Course and format

The event uses the south side undulating route previously used in January. The course is a mix of forest roads and trails and is described as one of the less technical routes in the series. Individual starts will be used so dogs have space at the start. Up to two dogs are allowed per runner; running without a dog is also permitted. Participants are required to use a head torch for the night run.

Distances offered:

  • 10 km with 380 m of ascent
  • 5 km with 200 m of ascent
