Lakeland Paws Whinlatter Tails Night Run

This is the event's first night run. It takes place at Whinlatter Forest and uses a south-side route previously used for a January event. Participants will need a head torch. The event uses individual starts for each athlete to provide space for dogs to start safely. Runners can compete with or without dogs.

Two course options are available:

  • 10 km with 380 m of ascent.
  • 5 km with 200 m of ascent.

The course consists of a mix of forest roads and trails and is described as less technical, allowing two dogs per runner. The route is fully marked and chip-timed. GPX files are available for download. The minimum age for participants is 16. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
