The Lakeland Paws Whinlatter Tails Night Run is scheduled for 28 February 2026 at Whinlatter Forest. The event uses the south side, undulating route previously used in January and will take place in the dark. Participants must wear a head torch. Individual starts will be used so dogs have space at the start. The minimum age is 16 or older. Entry fees are £19.00. Entries open 25 July 2025 and close 27 February 2026 at 18:30.

Course and timing

The course mixes forest roads and trails and is described as one of the less technical routes in the series. Two dogs are allowed per runner; running without dogs is also permitted. The event is chip timed and the course will be marked. GPX files are available to download.
