Event Overview

The Lakeland Paws Whinlatter Tails Night Run is a night trail running event at Whinlatter Forest. It is the organizer's first night run. The course will be the same as their January event but run after dark. The start time is 18:00.

Course Details

The course uses the south side of Whinlatter Forest and is described as undulating. It is a mix of forest roads and trails and is noted as being less technical than some of their other routes. The event is chip timed, fully marked, and GPX files are available for download.

Two distances are offered:

  • 10 km with 380 m of ascent
  • 5 km with 200 m of ascent

The shorter route is recommended for beginners or those seeking an easier route.

Participation Rules

Every participant is required to use a head torch. The event features individual starts for each athlete. Participants may run with dogs, with a limit of two dogs allowed per runner on this course. Runners are also welcome to compete without a dog.
