Day two covers about 30 miles with nearly 6,000 ft of ascent and crosses the island massif including sections that reach the Goatfell area.

The event is based at an Event Village at Ormidale Park in Brodick. Each day starts beside the beach at Fisherman’s Walk in Brodick. Participants collect a satellite tracker at registration and must carry mandatory kit such as a small rucksack, trail running shoes, minimum 2 litres of hydration, waterproof jacket and trousers with taped seams, a bivvy bag, basic first aid, a whistle and a fully charged mobile phone. A GPS tracker is supplied.

The route is fully waymarked with orange arrows and staffed at key points. The event is fully supported with staffed pit stops on both days and a sweeper service for those who withdraw. Medical cover is provided by a professional event medic service with on‑ground paramedics, doctors and an ambulance. Participants must be over 18 on the day of registration.
