Tackle the classic Eskdale Elevation fell race in the Lake District, a testing 20.2 km route with 1455 m of climb across dramatic fells. Enter on the day for £10 with proceeds going to charity.

Tackle the Annalong Horseshoe in County Down on 25 April with 21.1 km and 8.5 km options, 1700 m of climb across rugged hills. GPS devices are banned and mandatory safety kit is required, so come prepared for a classic mountain run.

Tackle the Lords Seat Fell race at Whinlatter Visitor Centre, an 8 km route with 430 m of climb across scenic, rugged fells. Entry on the day only £7 cash, with junior races and a start from the visitor centre car park.

Tackle Slieve Martin in County Down on Thursday 30 April 2026, a compact 7.00 km route with 550 m of climb for a steep, scenic challenge. Mandatory kit and no GPS ensure a classic fell experience, and volunteers are warmly welcome.

May 2026

Tackle Binnian Uphill in County Down on 7 May 2026: a short but savage 3.7 km climb gaining 570 m of ascent. Mandatory Level B kit is required, route has limited markings and GPS devices are not permitted, so come prepared.

Canicross at Dodd Wood with scenic views across Bassenthwaite Lake. Two marked, chip timed routes of 5K and 8K are offered and most wide trails allow two dogs per runner.

Take on the Kintyre Way Ultra, a 35 miles coastal and hill run from Tayinloan to Campbeltown on 9 May 2026. Enjoy varied terrain and sweeping sea views to Islay, Jura, Gigha and Arran, finishing with showers, massage and festival vibes.

The Slieuwhallian will take place in Saint John's on Saturday 9 May 2026. You can run 3 miles.

Final event of Lakeland Paws Season 4 with fully marked 8K and 5K routes around Seat How, chip timing and GPX files. Dogs are welcome with harness rules and some summit sections allow only one dog per runner.

Take on the classic Latrigg fell race in Keswick, Lake District on 13 May 2026, a short but steep 3 mile climb with great views. Entry is available on the day for a small fee on a fully flagged route for runners aged 13 and up.

Community running event in Houston, Renfrewshire featuring 10K, 5K and kids runs on quiet lanes and footpaths. Chip on bib timing, medals for finishers, on day registration and post race refreshments.

Challenge the Latterbarrow Loop fell race in the Lake District on Wednesday 20 May 2026, a punchy 4.8 km loop from Cold Fell Gate with 250 m of climb. Entry on the day is £5, places limited to 100 and every finisher gets a prize.

Join Luke's in County Down on Thursday 21 May 2026 for a challenging 7.3 km course with 450 m of ascent across marked junctions. Level B kit is mandatory so bring a waterproof, hat, gloves, whistle, charged phone and a foil blanket.

A 28 km fell race on the Isle of Jura with seven summits and about 2,370 m of climbing across technical terrain. Entry is limited to 250 vetted runners and requires recent mountain or AL race experience.

The Cooley Half will take place in Cooley-Halbinsel on Saturday 23 May 2026. You can run 22 kilometers.

A chip-timed fell running event at Sale Fell on 23 May 2026 offering a senior 6 mile race and a range of junior distances from 1 km to 6 km, with age grading per FRA rules and prizes for individual and team categories.

Race scenic but testing trails through Whinlatter Forest in the Lake District on 24 May 2026, with panoramic lake and mountain views plus steep climbs and fast descents. Half marathon or 10K, medal, refreshments and canicross welcome.

Take on the Glaramara Fell Race on Sun 24 May 2026 in the Lake District, starting from Glaramara Outdoor Centre at Seatoller. The 8 km course packs 700 m of climb and entry on the day is free with donations to charity.
