Lakeland Paws: Dogs@ Dodd takes place in Dodd Wood on 4 October 2026. The event is part of the Lakeland Paws series in its fifth season and follows a fully marked route over forest roads and trails.

The route climbs and then contours around the summit of Dodd, with a steep final descent and views to the Coledale Fells. The course surface is mainly wide trails but includes some narrower sections. Individual starts are used to provide space for dogs.

Distances offered:

  • 8K loop with 370 m of ascent.
  • 5K option with 210 m of ascent, recommended as the less hilly route.

Two dogs per runner are permitted on the wider sections of the course; all dogs must run on a suitable harness. Runners may also take part without dogs. The event is chip timed and marked, and GPX files are available for download. Minimum age to enter is 16. Entry fee is £20. Entries open 27 April 2026 and close 3 October 2026.
