Lakeland Paws Dogs@Dodd

Dodd Wood, United Kingdom • 4 Oct 2026

Lakeland Paws: Dogs@ Dodd : event description

Lakeland Paws: Dogs@ Dodd is set in Dodd Wood and runs as part of the series' fifth season. The event uses individual starts for each athlete so dogs have space. The course is fully marked, chip timed, and GPX files are available.

The route consists of a mix of forest roads and trails. It climbs and then contours around the summit of Dodd, before a run down with views to the Coledale Fells. Most of the course is on wide trails, so two dogs per runner are permitted on those sections. There are some narrower sections and the final descent is relatively steep; dogs must be run on a suitable harness. Runners may also compete without dogs.

Distances and ascent options:

  • 8K loop with 370 m ascent.
  • 5K route with 210 m ascent.

Other practical details provided by the organiser include a minimum age of 16 or older and an entry fee of £20. The event is one of nine in the season series and follows the same format as the other Lakeland Paws events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
