Mud Madness - Chatelherault

Mud Madness at Chatelherault Country Park is a family-oriented mud run event organised by South Lanarkshire Leisure & Culture. The programme includes short children's and family 5 km runs with on-course obstacles, water hazards near the River Avon, and a river dip as part of the course design. The event starts and finishes on the lawn and warm ups are held for each race.

Distances:

• 1 km mini mud run for ages 4 to 11.
• 5 km family mud run open to primary age children and above.

The 1 km course is laid out on the lawn with marshals at each obstacle; adults may escort small children by moving under the course tape if assistance is needed. The 5 km family run is organised into staggered waves; participants choose a wave when booking. The course is marked with signs, tape, arrows and staffed by marshals in high visibility clothing; first aid can be requested from marshals.

Registration includes a Mud Madness t shirt. Medals, water and a snack are provided at the finish. Bag storage tags are available from registration and a bag drop will be on the lawn. On-site parking is provided at the Play Park and BBQ Area; the Function Car Park beyond the house should not be used. Visitor Centre toilets are available; there are no event changing facilities or showers. Photography and video recording may take place with opt-out arrangements available at registration.
