The Giant's Causeway 20 mile coastal trail run takes place on the North Antrim coast near Portrush. The route runs alongside the Giant's Causeway UNESCO Heritage Site and lies entirely within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The course passes dramatic cliffs, sandy beaches and ancient castle ruins. The event distance is 20 miles (listed as 20.4) with approximately 2,276 ft of ascent. Terrain types include grass, trail, beach and coastpath. The race is listed as a UTMB qualifier and is part of the Endurancelife season leaderboard, with points awarded to finishers for the season standings.

Facilities and entry terms

Participants are asked to complete an online check-in about two weeks before the event, which includes confirming a postal address for race number delivery and watching a mandatory safety video. A participant manual and spectator information document are provided. Optional add-ons include coach transport to the start (dogs allowed), a reserved 10-minute massage and an event safety kit containing a whistle, foil blanket, sterile dressing, moist wipe and plasters. Entries include a 30-day full refund option for changes of mind, the ability to change to another event up to 30 days before, and transfer of an entry to another person up to 14 days before.
