Giant's Causeway 20 Mile Coastal Trail Run
The event is a coastal trail run based in Portrush on the North Antrim Coast. The main route is a 20 mile coastal trail (listed distance 20.4 miles) that follows sections of the Causeway Coast Way and passes the Giant's Causeway UNESCO heritage site. The course lies entirely within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and passes dramatic cliffs, sandy beaches and ancient castle ruins.
Terrain includes grass, trail, beach and coastpath surfaces. The route shows an ascent of 2,276 feet. The event is listed as a UTMB qualifier and is part of the Endurancelife season leaderboard; participants who complete any distance at the event are awarded season points and listed on the leaderboard.
Event facilities and procedures noted by the organiser include a bag drop at the start line and on-site bib collection only; bibs are not posted in advance and a mobile phone is required to collect a bib.
