Giant's Causeway 20 Mile Coastal Trail Run
The event is a 20 mile trail running event based at Portrush on the North Antrim Coast. The route follows the Causeway Coast Way and runs alongside the Giant's Causeway, a formation of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The course passes dramatic cliffs, sandy beaches and ancient castle ruins.
The route surface includes grass, trail, beach and coastpath. The recorded ascent for the course is 2,276 feet. The event is listed as a UTMB qualifier. It is part of the Endurancelife 2026-27 trail running season and contributes points to the Season Leaderboard for participants who complete any distance category. Event administration includes an online check-in process approximately two weeks before the event; this process asks participants to confirm emergency contact details and to watch a mandatory event safety video.
