CULZEAN CASTLE TRAIL RUNS takes place at Culzean Castle and Country Park in Maybole, KA19 8LE, on the west coast of Scotland. The estate covers 642 acres of gardens, beaches, woodland and trails and includes a Swan Pond, ice house, formal gardens and fruit glasshouses. Route maps are provided for each distance.

Live chip-timing will be used, provided by Timing Up North. The event is Canicross friendly and allows one controlled dog per runner. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. An event T-shirt can be purchased for £12 when signing up.

Logistics and entry

Base entry prices listed are: 5km £24, 10km £27, Half Marathon £30 (prices shown in GBP). Some combined entry options with T-shirt are also listed at higher prices. Parking is charged at £6 per vehicle; a parking pass includes access to the grounds for entrants and spectators and entrants will be contacted with further details. Experience a 46 mile team challenge across three classic Galloway hill ranges with over 4000 metres of ascent. This navigation based event supports the local Mountain Rescue Team and includes camping and hot food checkpoints.

A circular 32 km fell race through the Galloway mountains featuring 1850 m of ascent. Experience the summits of Merrick and Curleywee on this supported mountain route organized by Galloway Mountain Rescue.

A 50 km out and back ultramarathon along the Ayrshire Coast starting and finishing at Irvine Beach, running across beaches, promenades and trails from sunset into sunrise. Aid stations at 12, 25 and 37 km; drop bag option at 25 km.

This 56-mile ultramarathon traverses Scotland's scenic Southern Upland Way. With significant elevation and a strict 20-hour cutoff, it offers a supported trail challenge for experienced runners.
