Highland Fling Race

Highland Fling Race is a 53-mile (85 km) ultratrail marathon along the southern section of Scotland’s West Highland Way, from Milngavie near Glasgow to Tyndrum in the Highlands, through Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. In 2025, the event features 2300m of ascent and 2100m of descent, with about 90% trail and 10% road terrain. The route is fully waymarked and chip-timed, with a drop-bag system and free luggage transport from start to finish. Spectator buses run to the start and from the finish, and the finish area offers showers, heated marquees, post-race food, free photos, and a post-race massage.
