Bruce's Crown Race

Glentrool, United Kingdom • 13-14 Sep 2025

Bruce's Crown Race is a 46-mile team event held in Galloway, Scotland, starting and finishing at Caldons near Glentrool, Newton Stewart. Teams of two to four tackle three gnarly hill ranges—the Minnigaff Hills, Rhinns of Kells, and the Awful Hand—accumulating over 4,000 metres of ascent. The route delivers classic, exposed highland scenery with 360-degree views on clear days.

The race features three manned hot-food checkpoints and safety support from the Galloway Mountain Rescue Team. With limited paths and demanding navigation, there are two route cutoffs and a 24-hour overall cap. Proceeds support GMRT's base and training to fund future missions.
