Lakeland Paws Whinlatter Double Header

This event is the final fixture of Lakeland Paws Season 4 and uses marked routes on a mix of forest roads and trails around Seat How. Each athlete has an individual start so dogs have space to begin safely. Participants may compete without dogs.

The original route reaches the summit of Seat How. Some sections on that route are narrower and steeper, so only one dog per runner is allowed there and dogs must be run on a suitable harness. Harnesses are available to borrow from Non Stop Dog Wear. There are no cut-offs and walking is permitted.

Distances offered:

  • 8K loop, approximately 360 m ascent, reaches the summit of Seat How.
  • 5K loop, approximately 240 m ascent, joins the second half of the longer course.

The event is chip timed and fully marked. GPX files are available for download. Season prizes for Lakeland Paws Season 4 will be presented at the end of this event. The minimum age to enter is 16 or older and the listed entry fee is £19.00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
