Lakeland Paws Whinlatter Double Header

Braithwaite, United Kingdom • 10 May 2026

Event Overview

The Lakeland Paws Whinlatter Double Header is the final event of Lakeland Paws Season 4. The event offers two course options, both fully marked. Individual starts are used for each participant to provide space for dogs to start safely.

Course Details

The routes are a mix of forest roads and trails. All events in the series follow this format and start at 9am. The Whinlatter course is the original route to the summit of Seat How.

Participants can choose from two distances:

  • 8 km (5 mile) loop with 370m of ascent, reaching the summit of Seat How.
  • 5 km (3 mile) loop with 240m of ascent, which avoids the summit.

Runners are welcome to compete without dogs. On the Seat How route, only one dog per runner is allowed, and dogs must be run in a suitable harness; harnesses are available to borrow. There are no cut-off times, so participants may walk sections.

Additional Information

The event is chip-timed. GPX files are available for download. The season prize giving ceremony takes place at the end of this event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
