Event

Northern Traverse® 2026 is a self-supported ultra race held from Saturday 28 March to Wednesday 1 April 2026. The route follows Wainwright’s Coast to Coast line from St Bees on the west coast to Robin Hood’s Bay on the east coast. The course crosses three National Parks and passes mountains, valleys and moors, with approximately 300 km of distance and about 6,500 m of ascent. The event start location is St Bees Seafront. The organiser is Ourea Events.

Entry and fees

Entry is open to people aged 18 or older. Entries open 9 April 2025 and close 15 March 2026. Total entry fees are £799, £849 or £899 depending on entry date. The fee includes a non-refundable deposit that varies by date:

  • £99 until 20 April 2025
  • £149 until 26 October 2025
  • £199 from 27 October 2025 until entries close

The remaining balance of £700 is payable in two interest-free instalments: £350 due by 1 July 2025 and £350 due by 1 December 2025. Entry requires a SiEntries account.
