Trail Running calendar near Portpatrick 2026-2027

A 57 miles ultramarathon from Glasgow to Edinburgh along canals and towpaths, with GPS tracking, mandatory kit requirements and a 16 hour cut off. The event has 750 places and is scheduled for October 2026 and October 2027.

SkyRun the Mournes features three demanding skyrunning races in the scenic Mourne mountains. Runners can choose from distances of 50 km, 35 km, or 20 km, each with significant elevation gain. The event is scheduled for October 10th, 2026.

A forest trail event at Whinlatter on 6 December 2026 with two marked, chip timed routes including a Seat How summit option. Dogs are welcome with a harness requirement on narrow sections and only one dog per runner there.

A circular 17.50 km mountain race in the Southern Galloway with around 800 m of ascent, running to the summit trig of Cairnsmore of Fleet. Checkpoints and first aid are provided by Galloway Mountain Rescue and proceeds support the team.
