The ACORN South By Five trail run series takes place over a 10-week period, visiting six parks in Glasgow. Each event is a 5km run, and participants can choose to enter single races or the entire series. To complete the series, runners must participate in 5 out of the 6 races. The final race at Bellahouston Park on January 5th, 2025, will be followed by a gathering and prize giving at a local bowling club near Queens Park. Entry to all races is free, but there is a mandatory minimum donation to the Acorn Trails Community Fund to support grassroots development of the sport and local causes.
