ACORN South By Five - Bellahouston Park

This entry is for a single event in the South By Five series. The series stages a 5 km event in each of six parks over a 12 week period. Bellahouston Park hosts its race on 3 January 2027 as one of the six fixtures.

The South By Five series visits the following parks and dates: Kings Park 1 November, Linn Park 15 November, Rouken Glen 29 November, Pollok Park 13 December, Bellahouston Park 3 January 2027, and Queens Park 17 January. Completing five of the six races qualifies a runner as a "Fiver". The final race is followed by a gathering and prize giving at a local bowling club near Queens Park.

All races are free to enter and total places for this event are limited to 65. Entry includes a mandatory minimum donation to the Acorn Trails Community Fund, which supports coach and first aider training, local causes, and investment in trails and parks. Organisers say entrants who cannot afford the donation should contact them in confidence. Entrants are also encouraged to bring donations to a local foodbank in lieu of an entry fee.

Additional options are available during sign-up, including Sx5 merchandise options; organisers note merch options were only available until August. Each park will also have an organised litter pick with details to be published closer to the events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
