North Lakes Half Marathon and 10km

The North Lakes Half Marathon and 10km takes place on the roads of the Lorton Valley, starting and finishing near the Market Place in Cockermouth Town Centre. The courses consist of road routes that lead participants through country lanes featuring views across the Lake District.

The event offers two distinct distances:

  • Half Marathon
  • 10km

Participants are provided with live chip-timing services. There is no designated cut-off time for completing either distance. The event is open to individuals aged 17 and over on the day of the race.

Upon finishing the race, all participants receive an event medal, merchandise from the organizer, and a snack and drink. While a finisher T-shirt is not included in the standard entry fee, one may be purchased during the registration process.

Logistics for the event include ample parking located within Cockermouth Town Centre, which is within walking distance of the starting line. Additionally, the event supports Blood Bikes Cumbria, a medical courier service. Registration fees vary by distance, ranging from approximately £23.00 to £28.00 depending on the chosen route and affiliation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
