ACORN South By Five - Queens Park
ACORN South By Five at Queens Park is a single 5 km park event held on 17 January 2027. It is one race in a six‑park series that runs over a 12 week period, with a 5 km event staged in each park. Entrants may enter a single event or the full series; completing five of the six races qualifies a runner as a "Fiver".
The series parks and dates are listed in sequence: Kings Park on 1 November, Linn Park on 15 November, Rouken Glen on 29 November, Pollok Park on 13 December, Bellahouston Park on 3 January, and Queens Park on 17 January. The final race will be followed by a gathering and prize giving at a local bowling club close to Queens Park.
All races are free to enter but carry a mandatory minimum donation to the Acorn Trails Community Fund. Places are limited and a total of 65 places is listed. Series entries include a condition: if a series entrant fails to attend two of the first three events, their series entry will be withdrawn and offered to the waiting list with no refund.
Additional sign-up options and South By Five merchandise are available at entry, with merch order availability noted for entries made before August 31. Each park will host an organised litter pick; times and dates will be announced closer to the events. The series supports the local charity Give A Dog A Bone.
