ACORN South By Five - Queens Park

This listing is for the Queens Park event on 17 January 2027 and covers one event only, not the full series. The event is part of the South By Five series, which is based on the Glasgow South Side Six. The series visits six parks over a 12 week period and holds a 5 km event in each park.

The series parks and dates include Kings Park (1 November), Linn Park (15 November), Rouken Glen (29 November), Pollok Park (13 December), Bellahouston Park (3 January) and Queens Park (17 January). Completing five of the six races qualifies a participant as a "Fiver." The full series entry may be selected during registration, but series entries will be withdrawn and offered to the waiting list without refund if the entrant fails to attend two of the first three events.

All races are free to enter and places are limited; capacity for this event is 65. Entry carries a mandatory minimum donation to the Acorn Trails Community Fund. Entrants unable to afford the donation are invited to make contact for discreet support. Organisers encourage donations to the local foodbank in lieu of an entry fee. Additional sign-up options and South By Five merchandise are available, with merch orders accepted only for entries made before 31 August. Each park visit will include an organised litter pick. The final race will be followed by a gathering and prize giving at a local bowling club near Queens Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
