ACORN South By Five - Rouken Glen

Glasgow, United Kingdom • 29 Nov 2026

Event Overview

The ACORN South By Five - Rouken Glen is part of the South By Five series. This specific entry is for a single event in Rouken Glen park, not for the entire series. The event is a 5 km run.

The Series

The South By Five series is based on the Glasgow race, The South Side Six. It involves a 5 km event held in each of six different parks over a 12-week period. Runners can enter individual events or the complete series. To complete the series and become a "Fiver", participants must finish five of the six races.

Entry and Donation

Entry for the race is free, but places are limited. There is a mandatory minimum donation to the Acorn Trails Community Fund, which supports local sports development, coach training, and park maintenance. For those unable to afford the donation, the organizers can be contacted directly. Participants are also encouraged to bring donations for a local foodbank.

Additional Information

The event supports the charity Give A Dog A Bone….and an animal a home, which helps people over 60 afford rescue pets. An organized litter pick will also take place in the park around the event date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
