ACORN South By Five - Rouken Glen

This entry is for one event only, held at Rouken Glen on 29 November 2026. The race is part of the South By Five series, a 12 week set of park races inspired by the South Side Six. Each event is a 5 km race, and runners can enter individual events or the full series.

To complete the series and earn the "Fiver" designation, participants must finish five of the six races. The six parks in the sequence are Kings Park (1 November), Linn Park (15 November), Rouken Glen (29 November), Pollok Park (13 December), Bellahouston Park (3 January) and Queens Park (17 January). The final race is followed by a gathering and prize giving at a local bowling club near Queens Park.

Entry to all races is free, but places are limited for each event; this Rouken Glen event has 65 places. There is a mandatory minimum donation to the Acorn Trails Community Fund to support coaching, first aid training, local good causes and trail maintenance. Entrants are encouraged to bring donations to the local foodbank in lieu of an entry fee if they prefer.

Additional sign-up options include South By Five merchandise while entries are open; merch options close after August. A full series entry may be withdrawn without refund if the entrant misses two of the first three events. Organised litter picks will take place for each park with details confirmed closer to the events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
