Trail Running calendar near Port Bannatyne 2026-2027

A 57 mile ultra on 10 October 2026 between Glasgow and Edinburgh following canals and towpaths and passing the Falkirk Wheel and the Antonine Wall. The event has marked route, live GPS tracking, checkpoints and mandatory kit requirements.

Run a 50km ultra through Scottish history around Stirling. Choose to tackle the mixed-terrain loop solo or in a team relay. The event includes live tracking, aid stations, and a 14-hour cutoff.

A challenging hill race in the Ochils, starting and finishing in Alva Glen. The 14.6 km route visits several summits, including Ben Cleuch. Entry is affordable, with prizes for top finishers and veterans.

Join the Halloween themed Auchterarder 10K Chilli Trail on 31 October for a fun, chilli pepper shaped route into the Ochil Hills with forest trails, stream crossings and sweeping views. All finishers get a snood and a bespoke medal.

A multi-terrain ultra around the Tweed Valley based at Glentress Peel Visitor Centre in mid-November. Two route options, 65 km and 50 km, follow forest trails, riverside paths and open moorland with marked routes and aid stations.

Trail runs at the Hermitage of Braid and Blackford Hill on 22 November 2026 include 10 km and 5 km off road courses plus a 1.2 km festive fun run for children. Proceeds from the fun run support local groups.

A winter hill race in Southern Galloway with a 17.50 km circular course and 800 m ascent to Cairnsmore of Fleet. Organised by Galloway Mountain Rescue Team, it requires fell running experience, navigation skills and mandatory map and waterp..

Trail runs at Vogrie Country Park on 17 January 2027 feature multiple distances across marked mixed terrain laps through estate paths, woodlands and the Tyne Valley, with on site refreshments and medals.

The MTC Grimalkin will take place in Perth on Wednesday 10 May 2028. You can run 35 miles.

The MTC Nuckelavee is a 41-mile ultramarathon from Edinburgh Airport to Perth. It is the third stage of the nine-day SCOTIA challenge across Scotland. All finishers receive a unique medal, and strict pace requirements apply.
