Scurry Around Vogrie Country Park Trail Running Festival is a trail running event at Vogrie Country Park, Gorebridge. The festival includes a half marathon, 10km, 5km and a 1.6km family fun run on clearly marked and marshaled mixed-terrain routes. The race start and finish are set in front of the Victorian baronial manor house. The half marathon uses a new Jump Ship Brewing route for 2026 that passes through and around Pathhead and follows the first 5km inside the park as a two-lap course.

Practical information

Registration takes place in the treetops cafe by the start/finish area. The courses use estate paths, woodlands and sections along the Tyne Valley. Hot and cold drinks and refreshments are available in the Tree Top cafe. Public toilets are in the main carpark and near the children’s play area. Post-race drinks and snacks are provided, and competitors in the half, 10km and 5km receive a race memento and medal; fun run participants receive a medal, memento and fruit or snacks.

The routes are signposted and marshaled; first aid is provided at the start and finish. Earphones are prohibited. Canicross and dogs are not permitted on the course. The course is not suitable for pushchairs or run buggies except the fun run, where off-road buggies are recommended. There is no direct public transport to the park; Gorebridge is the nearest stop, about a two-mile walk along the B6372. Car park exit fee applies.
