Courses use mixed surfaces including estate paths, woodland trails, tarmac, grass, and muddy sections, and include running along parts of the Tyne Valley. The half marathon route passes through and around Pathhead. All routes are signposted and marshals will be present. Earphones are prohibited, canicross and dogs are not permitted, and the main trail routes are not suitable for pushchairs; run buggies may be used on the fun run but off-road buggies are easier. Children under 10 must be accompanied in the fun run. A first-aid team will be available and competitors withdrawing must report to the finish team.
Facilities include public toilets, a Tree Top cafe with hot and cold drinks, and post-race drinks and snacks. Race numbers are issued at registration and finishers receive a memento and medal. There is no direct public transport to the park; Gorebridge is a walk of about two miles from the nearest bus and rail stops. The park car park operates a barrier with an exit fee of £3. Competitors should allow time to walk from the car park to the registration area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
