Vogrie Country Park Trail Running Festival

Scurry Events stages a trail running festival at Vogrie Country Park on 17 January 2027. The event offers multiple distance options on waymarked, marshaled routes that use mixed terrain across estate paths, woodlands and the Tyne Valley.

The course layout:

  • Half Marathon: two mixed terrain laps plus an additional wider lap through Pathhead
  • 10 km: two mixed terrain laps around the estate and valley
  • 5 km: one mixed terrain lap
  • 1.6 km Fun run: short family trail route

The race start and finish are located in front of the Victorian baronial manor house. The half marathon includes an extra wider lap that goes out of the park and around Pathhead, the home of Jump Ship Brewing. Post race provisions include a drink and snacks, a race memento and a medal; half marathon participants receive a Jump Ship beer. Hot and cold drinks and other refreshments will be available in the Tree Top cafe.

Routes are described as clearly marked and marshaled. The venue uses the park's paths and surrounding countryside estate to provide varied terrain for the listed distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
