Event Overview
The Vogrie Country Park Trail Running Festival is a trail running event in its seventh year. It is organized by Scurry Events and takes place at Vogrie Country Park.
Distances
The event offers four different race distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 1.6 km Fun Run
Course Information
The courses are clearly marked and have marshals. They use mixed terrain paths on the countryside estate. The start and finish area is in front of the Victorian baronial manor house within the park.
The 5 km route is one lap. The 10 km and Half Marathon routes consist of two laps on mixed terrain, going through woodlands and the Tyne Valley. The Half Marathon includes an additional, wider lap that goes out of the park and around Pathhead, which is noted as the home of Jump Ship Brewing.
Post-Race
A post-race drink and snacks are provided. All participants receive a race momento and a medal. Participants in the half marathon also receive a Jump Ship beer.
