The Scurry Around Vogrie Country Park Trail Running Festival takes place at Vogrie Country Park, Gorebridge on 18 January 2026. Distances offered include:

  • Half Marathon - Jump Ship Brewing route, two 10.55 km laps.
  • 10 km - two 5 km laps.
  • 5 km - one 5 km lap.
  • 1.6 km - family fun trail run.

Entries are open and the event shows capacity limits for each distance. Prizes, medals, and a race memento are provided for Half, 10 km and 5 km competitors; all fun-run participants receive a medal.

Course and facilities

All routes are mixed terrain and clearly signposted and marshaled. The courses use countryside estate paths, woodlands, and sections along the Tyne Valley. The Half Marathon route passes through and around Pathhead and includes the first 5 km within the park. The race start and finish are set in front of the Victorian baronial manor house. Hot and cold drinks and refreshments are available in the Tree Top Cafe. A post-race drink and snacks are provided after the finish.

Safety and event rules

All courses are marshaled and a first-aid team is based at the start and finish. Runners must follow marshal instructions and confirm safe arrival at the finish desk. Earphones are prohibited. The trails are not suitable for dogs, canicross, pushchairs, baby prams, or run buggies (run buggies are allowed on the fun run but terrain may be difficult).
