Traditional Scottish hill race on Ben Lomond with a 12.6 km route and 960 m ascent. Entry is limited to 100 runners and strict kit checks require waterproofs, hat, gloves and a whistle for safety.

A coastal marathon on 9 May 2026 covering 26.2 Miles from Lower Burnmouth to Lindisfarne via Berwick, beaches and the Pilgrims causeway. The event requires running only, includes a causeway cut off at 19 miles and a six hour limit.

Trail races at Dalkeith Country Park raising funds for MYPAS, with chip-timed 1 km, 5 km and 10 km options, volunteer-run organisation and handmade finisher medals.

The Uplawmoor Festival of Running returns in May 2026 with a fast 9 km road race. The challenging course features significant climbs and a fast downhill finish, with all proceeds supporting mental health charity SAMH.

An uphill only 7.2 km race gaining 670 m to the summit of Glas Tulaichean on mixed double track and open hill, hosted by Dundee Hawkhill Harriers at Dalmunzie Estate. A free approximately 1 km fun run is available for younger runners.

Test your limits at the MacTuff Really Muddy 5k and 10k in Aberdeen. Navigate a course of mud water and obstacles to receive your technical T shirt and finishers medal.

A muddy outdoor run at Castle Fraser on 17 May 2026 offering 3 km for kids and adults plus 5 km and 10 km for adults. The route crosses bogs, pools and forest terrain; participants receive a t-shirt and a custom medal.

A community road and trail event in Houston, Renfrewshire, featuring 10 km and 5 km races with chip timing, kids runs in the park, medals and age category awards, plus on-site facilities and post-race refreshments.

A woodland trail race at Balbirnie Park in Markinch on 17 May 2026 covering about 4 to 4.5 miles on paths and trails. The event is open to all abilities, has limited places and requires pre entry.

A Race for Life event at Hopetoun House offering a chip timed 10k plus 5k and 3k options on mostly gravel and forestry paths. There is a minimum fundraising target of £50 and designated parking on the estate.

A one-lap hill race in Perth on 21 May 2026 covering approx. 7 km with 243 m of climb. Registration is at Kinnoull Church Hall; competitors must be 16 or older and carry basic safety kit.

A community Fun 5K in Kintore on 22 May 2026 organised to raise funds for the Kintore Summer Festival. The untimed route starts and finishes at Kintore School playing fields and awards a medal to every entrant.

Join Kirkhill 8 on 23 May 2026 for a scenic 4.3 mile trail loop in Kirkhill Forest that you can repeat over an eight hour window to chase distances from marathon to 50 miles. Limited to 100 places, this friendly, inclusive event fills fast.

MacTuffX Glasgow on 24/05/2026 offers solo, doubles and relay formats over 10x400m or 10x800m segments, with distinct entry fees by category and an age restriction of 18 or older.

A final local trail race in St Boswells covering about 13 km across river trails, open fields and rooty paths with a historical Wobbly Bridge midway. Numbers are issued in the village Hall and entry is £15.

MacTuffX Aberdeen on 25 May 2026 features interval events of ten 400 m or 800 m repeats, offered in solo, doubles and relay formats. Entrants must be 18 or older.
