Bishopbriggs 5 Miler

The Bishopbriggs 5 mile is a community running event organised by Springburn Harriers. The course is entirely off-road, beginning on the canal near Cadder Bridge, following tarmacked tow-paths west towards Lambhill, completing a loop of Possil Marsh, and returning to finish near the bridge at the Leisuredrome.

Entries are limited to 200 and the entry fee is £10. Entries are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferable. No entries will be accepted on the day. Entrants should be aged 15 or over on the day in line with Scottish Athletics guidance. Scottish Athletics licence is pending.

Registration takes place in the squash courts upstairs at the Leisuredrome from 6:00 to 6:40, and registration closes at 6:40 to allow runners time to reach the start line. At registration participants receive a bib which must be visible on the front; emergency contact details and relevant medical information should be written on the back of the bib.

The event is not chip timed. Distance markers will be placed at mile intervals and full event results will be provided by Springburn Harriers within 24 hours. First aid teams will be available on the day; anyone withdrawing should report to the nearest marshal. Only bone conducting headphones are permitted for safety. Toilets are available in the Leisuredrome and water will be provided on completion. Various parking options exist in nearby streets and around Cadder Bridge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
