A community focused 5 mile mixed terrain race in Rimrose Valley Country Park, Waterloo, Liverpool, with a scenic traffic free course through woodland and canal paths and a themed medal for finishers.

October 2026

Two fully tracked trail ultras across national trails, with 104 mile and 50 mile options, fooded checkpoints, support runner allowances, and cutoff times of 40 hours and 20 hours respectively.

The District BYU is a Backyard Ultra in an undisclosed Lake District setting with a 4.167 mile loop run each hour until one runner remains. Camping is included and the event is self supported with basic aid station provision.

A four leg fell running relay in the Lake District near Patterdale, raced by teams of eight across mountain terrain. Entry is limited to 70 teams and places are allocated after pre selection with a team fee of £100.

A junior fell running race in the Pennines for ages 6 and up. The 2 km course starts near a classic pub. Entry is available on the day.

Trail event at Dodd Wood on 4 October 2026 with fully marked 8K and 5K options, chip timing, and space for dogs on individual starts. Two dogs per runner are allowed on wider sections and all dogs must wear a suitable harness.

A community trail event at Dalemain Mansion on 4 October 2026 featuring a two‑lap 10 km course and two children's fun runs, with proceeds split between Jigsaw Children's Hospice and other Rotary Club of Penrith causes.

A trail event at Cuerden Valley Park on Friday 9 October 2026 where runners complete repeated 5k laps within a six hour limit. Finishers receive an official time and a bespoke medal.

A fell race at Wasdale Head on 10 October 2026 that climbs to Kirk Fell over 2.4 miles with about 700 m ascent. Age groups run from Under 12 to Seniors and specific waterproof kit is compulsory.

Test your mountain skills at the Langdale Horseshoe, a 21.1 km fell race through some of the Lake District's most challenging terrain. This classic event features over 1450 m of ascent across rocky ground and pathless fells.

Experience an off road run through the scenic pathways of Rivington starting and finishing at Rivington and Blackrod High School. This trail event is designed for runners with previous half marathon experience.

Canicross at Pennington Flash Country Park on 11 October 2026, with scenic mostly-flat trails, two distance options, on-course marshals, and on-site facilities including parking and a café.

A lapped run at Burrs Country Park on 11 October 2026 offering 3.28 mile laps within a seven hour time limit. The event supports The Sunnywood Project and the first 50 entries receive vegan biryani and a medal.

A two-hour outdoor trail run and fitness session in Bollington combining running to White Nancy with bodyweight exercises on varied terrain. The event is in person, for ages 16 and over, with free parking and limited spaces.

An 8 hour looped ultramarathon at Delamere Forest where participants run as many roughly 6 km loops as possible. Mixed gravel and trail terrain passes Old Pale Viewpoint and Blackmere Lake with a single aid station and lap timing.

Discover Warrington's historic transport networks on this circular half marathon. Enjoy a marshalled trail route along canals and rivers with chip timing and a finishers medal included.

Experience a 5.2 mile trail run with 115m of ascent starting from Fairway Primary School. This chip timed race supports the local school PTA and rewards every finisher with a bottle of beer.

Experience a fast and flat out and back race along a historic railway path. Enjoy scenic views of the Dee Estuary and Wales while completing this chip timed event on the Wirral Way gravel trails.

A backyard ultra in Gisburn Forest where runners complete a fully off road loop each hour until one person remains. Field capped at 200 with prizes for top finishers and an extra award for anyone exceeding 100 mile.

Run the Bronte Way fell race through the South/West Pennines, a scenic 12 km point to point with 351 m of climb. Pre entry only with limited bus support and a warming soup and roll at the finish make this a classic autumn challenge.
