The Ultra Loop - Delamere Forest

The Ultra Loop is an 8 hour looped running event at Delamere Forest, Frodsham, WA6 6NB. Participants run as many 6.02 km loops of the woodland course as they can within the time limit. Each competitor receives a finishing time and a medal; results show the number of laps completed, total distance and elapsed time. Any laps not completed before the cut-off are not included in final results.

The course mixes gravel paths and light trails, includes a climb to Old Pale Viewpoint and a section around Blackmere Lake. The route is not closed to other users, so runners may encounter walkers and dog walkers. Trail shoes are recommended.

A single aid station is located at the start/finish area. The aid station offers water, fruit, sweet and savoury snacks, energy bars and electrolytes from the event sponsor. Participants may leave personal food and drink at the aid station and use a bag drop that stays accessible throughout the day. The event operates on a bring your own bottle basis; water refill points are provided but cups are not. Portaloos are available at the aid station.

Entry fee is £34. Under 12s are not permitted to participate; those aged 12 to 15 require the organiser to arrange their place and a parent or guardian must attend the event with them. After entry, participants receive a confirmation email and an event guide by email; race bibs are collected at registration on the morning of the event.
