Trail Running calendar near Wigmore 2026-2027

A mostly off road, largely flat 18.5, 26.5 or 30 mile circular walk or run exploring Birmingham's canals and the River Cole. Routes start and finish at Moseley Rugby Club and visit Edgbaston Reservoir, the Soho loop and Spaghetti Junction.

A four day, 184 mile race along the Thames Path from the Cotswolds to the Thames Barrier. Competitors are self-sufficient, must carry mandatory kit, and overnight accommodation is provided at the end of Days 1 to 3.

A 57 mile point-to-point ultramarathon along the Thames Path from Kemble to Oxford, with four staffed checkpoints, a bespoke finisher medal and event apparel, mandatory navigation kit and a required 4.0 mph average pace.

Join the Tegg's Nose Fell Race on Sat 8 Aug 2026 in the Peak District for a challenging 8 mile course with 525 m of climb and fine views. Held with sheep dog trials, this classic fell race accepts pre entries and entries on the day.

Trail races in Talybont on Usk on 8 August 2026 offering 24K and 51K routes with waymarked kilometres and marshals. Entries include a themed medal, chip timing and free race photos.

Long-established August challenge in northeast Wales offering three route choices of 32 miles, 24 miles and 16 miles. Routes climb the Clwydian Hills along the Offa's Dyke Path with ridge and woodland sections.

A multi-terrain 10 km trail at Ramsbury Brewery in Wiltshire with a Canicross option. Finishers get a medal, a pint cup and a free drink; the course features two water refill stations and chip timing.

The Ragleth Inn Fell Race will take place in Church Stretton on Wednesday 12 August 2026.

An evening fell race in Darley Dale covering 7.3 km with 240 m of climb. The waymarked route features forest trails, steep ascents including a final climb to Oker Trig Point, technical descents and a short dash to the finish.

Flagg Moor Run is a 5.5 mile fell race in Flagg in the Peak District, following fields, lanes and country roads through Pomeroy and Chelmorton before returning to the village. Entries open in August 2025 with a standard fee of £7.

SkyRun Eryri in Rhyd-Ddu, Eryri/Snowdonia stages four mountain races from 16 km to 55 km on 15 August 2026, with large elevation gains, aid stations and a mix of ridgelines, scrambling and technical trails.

A multi-distance running event in Bath that routes through two long, lit railway tunnels and finishes at Brickfields Park; proceeds partly support Sustrans and ticketing for this edition is sold out.

Join the Crook Peak Cake Race in Axbridge on Wed 19 Aug 2026 for a spirited 3 mile fell challenge across stunning Somerset hills, finishing with cake and community cheer. On the day entry available for runners aged 14 and up.

A summer ultra around Bristol on 22 August 2026 offering 45-mile and 30-mile clockwise routes, self-navigation with GPX, chip timing, electronic tracking from 2026, and bespoke finisher medals.
