Ilam 3 Peaks is a fully marked 4-mile loop (6.4 km) with about 520 m of ascent. The route begins with a steep climb up Bunster Hill, includes a river crossing and features faster sections between the three summits.

Registration is at Ilam Primary School, DE6 2AZ. Parking is available at the National Trust car park at Ilam Park (pay and display), about a five minute walk to registration. Public toilets are available at Ilam Hall and limited toilets are provided at registration. Tea, cakes and savoury snacks will be available to purchase after the event; cash is recommended.

The race is licensed by the Fell Runners Association and is run under FRA rules. Competitors must carry the mandatory FRA kit; the requirement may be relaxed depending on conditions. The use of GPS navigation or poles is not allowed and running with dogs is not permitted. Breaches of rules may result in disqualification.

Entry details include a minimum age of 18, a maximum capacity of 250 runners, and entry fees of £12 for FRA members and £14 for non members. Entries open 1 July 2026 and close 10 September 2026; entries are managed through SiEntries. Prizegiving will include individual and team prizes across standard age categories. Up the Nab is a fell running event on Wednesday 29 July 2026 at Glossop Rugby Club, Charlesworth, with online and on the day entry options and an FRA permit providing UK Athletics insurance.

A Category CS fell race at Stoney Middleton Playing Field with an 8.5 km route and 308 m of ascent. The course includes climbs on High Street and Longstone Edge and finishes with prize presentation and a beer and BBQ on the field.

A free trail music run at Ticknall with a warm up followed by an 8 km route through Calke Abbey nature park.

About 10 km of trails around rivers and meadows followed by family-style pasta and ice cream in Little Scarfs courtyard in Stockport.
