Welsh 3000's Ultra Run

The Welsh 3000's Ultra Run is a guided mountain running event in Snowdonia, North Wales, held on 12 September 2026. The route traverses the 15 Welsh 3,000 ft peaks and covers sections of the Carneddau, the Glyderau and the Snowdon range, including the traverse of Crib Goch.

The route is approximately 30 miles (50 km) with around 4,000 m of total ascent. The event is not organised as a race; it is delivered by trail runners who hold British Mountain Leader and British Athletics qualifications. The minimum age for participants is 18.

Logistics included in the booking price are transport to the start, a mountain guide and a support vehicle. Food stations provide a selection of hot and cold items. Bookings open on 4 July 2025 and close on 4 September 2026. The booking fee is £170.

An optional insurance product called XCover is offered to allow potential refunds if a participant cannot attend due to unforeseen circumstances. Experience the Ogwen valley through this skyrunning event in Eryri. Choose between 10km, 25km, and 40km routes featuring technical mountain terrain and alpine peaks starting from the National Outdoor Centre.
